GREEN BURIAL

Fairmount Memorial Association is pleased to provide the first natural or 'green' burial ground in Eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest. The Green Burial Reserve at Riverside Memorial Park is a beautiful location sheltered by trees and the natural environment.

Green burial funerals provide families with a rich, meaningful, and healing experience while furthering legitimate environmental and societal aims such as protecting worker health, reducing carbon emissions, conserving natural resources, and preserving habitat.

Green burial interment does not use machinery or other carbon generating methods.

Green burial promotes natural decomposition.

Green burial practices avoid embalming fluid and traditional caskets and vaults to encourage natural decomposition.

Markers and Monuments of Natural Materials

A variety of markers and monuments are available that minimize the use of manufactured materials to limit environmental impact.

FAMILY ESTATES

Designed to honor generations, Family Estates are works of art and architecture designed to be a central family place of remembrance and reflection. Site selection and design is individualized for each family. If you are interested in a Family Estate, contact a Family Service Representative.

PRIVATE MAUSOLEUMS

Private Mausoleums can be personally designed for above ground entombments honoring one family to several generations.
